Traumatized Women of the Bible

How biblical stories give voice to the heaviness women carry—and equip us to minister with the healing hope of Jesus. Some of Scripture’s most difficult stories center on women whose experiences of violence, shame, silence, and suffering can feel startlingly familiar to the trauma women carry today. This four-part course offers Christian women a deeper, seminary-level exploration of these texts. Together, we’ll examine Scripture, history, theology, and interpretation to consider how women’s stories have been told, how they have sometimes been misunderstood, and how Jesus invites us to encounter trauma through the larger story of redemption. We meet Tuesdays at 8 am CT, October 20, 27 and November 3, 10. Lectures will be recorded for those who cannot attend the live sessions.
